Strong Group Athletics has finalized its roster for the 34th Dubai International Basketball Championship, happening from January 24 to February 2, 2025, by enlisting former Ateneo Blue Eagles guard Chris Koon.
The 6-foot-5 wing wrapped up his college basketball stint in UAAP Season 87, when he recorded averages of 7.58 points, 4.17 rebounds, and 1.83 assists.
Koon will begin professional basketball journey with Strong Group.
“He’s got good size, can shoot, and defend well. I believe he’ll be a valuable role player for us. Coming from a strong basketball program, he brings a lot to the table,” said head coach Charles Tiu.
With Koon on board, the roster now boasts a blend of local stars and international veterans. Filipino standouts Mikey Williams, Rhenz Abando, Dave Ildefonso, Jason Brickman, Angelo Kouame, NCAA MVP Allen Liwag, Tony Ynot, and Justine Sanchez are set to play alongside former NBA stars DeMarcus Cousins and Andray Blatche, as well as imports Malachi Richardson and Terry Larrier.
