Creamline secures AVC quarterfinal spot after Zhetysu VC’s clean sweep of Al Naser Club

Zhetysu VC will officially head into the 2025 AVC Champions League quarterfinals as the top seed in Pool A after sweeping Jordan’s Al Naser Club, 25-10, 25-15, 25-11, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Tuesday, April 22.

Dominant all game long, Zhetysu flexed their height and might against Al Naser, finishing the match in just 1 hour and 5 minutes.

Middle blocker Kristina Anikonova was hailed the Player of the Game for the Kazakh squad with 10 points on five attacks, four blocks, and one service.

With the Kazakhstan squad’s victory, the Creamline Cool Smashers have also secured the second seed in Pool A and head to the quarterfinals.

The Cool Smashers will await the top seed of Pool D, which could either be Nakhon Ratchasima Qmin C VC or the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
