The PLDT High Speed Hitters are setting their sights on a strong finish in pool play, gearing up for a crucial showdown against Nakhon Ratchasima in the 2025 AVC Women’s Champions League at the PhilSports Arena on Tuesday, April 22.

With a quarterfinal berth already secured, the High Speed Hitters now aim for the top seed in Pool D when they take the court against the powerhouse Thai squad.

Leading the way for PLDT is Fil-Canadian standout Savi Davison, who powered the High Speed Hitters with 14 points in their last match.

She’ll once again team up with veteran middle blockers Majoy Baron and Mika Reyes, who combined for solid offensive and defensive efforts to help seal their previous win.

Cuban import Wilma Salas, coming off an all-around performance of 10 points and 15 excellent digs, is also expected to play a key role as PLDT braces for its toughest test yet against the six-time Thai League champions.

A win would not only give the High Speed Hitters the no. 1 spot in Pool D but also set the stage for a potential all-Filipino clash in the quarterfinals, possibly against PVL rival Creamline.

First for the PLDT-Nakhon match is set for 4:00 p.m.
