The basketball journey of Jimmy Alapag has been memorable to say the least—and the best part is that it is still ongoing.

On Wednesday, The Mighty Mouse looked back at it in a poignant video he posted on Instagram.

The video starts out with photos of Alapag’s high school team and newspaper clippings recounting the hoops exploits of a young Alapag playing for the Cal State San Bernardino Coyotes out in California.

Next were pictures of some of Alapag’s most memorable PBA moments, followed by off-the-court snapshots of The Mighty Mouse being just like everyone of us—a friend, a hoops fan, an everyday fellow.

Of course, Alapag had to include highlights of his Gilas playing days, notably that booming straightaway trey he hit to help the Philippines break the so-called Curse of Korea in the 2013 FIBA Asia Championship—and qualifty for the 2014 FIBA World Cup.

The video continues with photos of Alapag the coach, first with Alab Pilipinas in the ASEAN Basketball League and then with the Stockton Kings in the NBA’s G-League, where he is currently an assistant coach to Sacramento Kings legend Bobby Jackson.

Alapag’s short video fittingly ends with a picture of the Alapag family.

The video perfectly encapsulates what has been a remarkable journey so far for one of the greatest players ever to lace ‘em up in the local basketball scene. It also shows what more the former Gilas captain can accomplish as he continues with his coaching career.

Trust us, it’s worth a look:
