Ginebra San Miguel heart and soul LA Tenorio shared on Instagram some positive news on his ongoing battle with cancer.
On Wednesday night, Tenorio posted on his Instagram some behind-the-scenes snaps of his latest visit to Parkway Cancer Centre in Mt Elizabeth Hospital Singapore—accompanied by two of his closest friends in actor Zanjoe Marudo and Mark Patron.
The photos are nothing special, really. But the caption most certainly is.
“6/12- halfway there.. PRAY, HOPE AND DON’T WORRY 🙏,” wrote Tenorio.
“Halfway there” in this case means Tenorio is officially done with 6 of the 12 chemotherapy sessions he needs in his road to recovery. The 38-year-old point guard began getting treatment back in April, with the sessions spread out in two-week intervals
Meaning, it is so far so good for Tinyente—and, barring any setback, he may very well be cancer-free sooner rather than later.
Tenorio, in the same Instagram post, also gave a heartfelt shout-out to Marudo and Patron, who are Batangueños just like Tenorio.
Thank you tol @onlyzanjoemarudo and @markpatron for accompanying me and being there for me on this journey. Kahit alam ko busy schedule niyo you guys still find time to be with me on this. Maraming salamat sainyo mga tol! 🙏,” Tenorio further wrote.
He added, “I am so blessed to have you guys as my friends/family. 🙏😘. I will be forever grateful for this. Maraming salamat mga kapwa batangueño! ??”

Of course, there is still a long road ahead for Tenorio. But Tinyente isn’t sweating it. After all, he is halfway there already.
