Magnolia opened its PBA Season 48 Philippine Cup campaign with a one-sided 106-75 win over Converge on Saturday, March 16.

But with a rousing beginning comes the "Introvoys" accusations.

The tag has been hurled at the Hotshots one too many times over the past few years after starting strong but failing to get the job done when it mattered most.

It does not bother Magnolia coach Chito Victolero and his wards, though.

“We don’t mind that,” said Victolero after the match at the historic Rizal Memorial Coliseum.

Jio Jalalon echoed the same sentiment, saying they let their game do the talking.

“Hindi namin pinapakinggan. Ipinapakita na lang namin every game,” said Jalalon, who had an all-around outing of 13 points, seven assists, five steals and three rebounds,

The social media vitriol could not be helped.

That is why Victolero said he and the squad are only focused on putting in the work day in and day out in the hopes of gaining their first championship since the 2018 Governors’ Cup.

“Whatever the opinion of other people, we respect them. We will work hard,” he said.

Victolero is proud of what the Hotshots, who he described as the best as far as chemistry is concerned, have achieved so far.

“Kami naman we achieved something. We’re not the best in terms of lineup but I’m proud of the players. In my opinion, we’re the best in chemistry,” said Victolero.

“We respect their opinion. Hindi 'yun makakapag-stop sa amin. May iba kaming motivation. Hindi namin kailangan ng ganoong klaseng issues. Kung anong gusto nila, irespeto lang natin," he added.
