TNT's RR Pogoy is headed to Bacolod for the 2024 PBA All-Star Games this weekend.

Pogoy is replacing Tyler Tio, as the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters playmaker will have to sit out for a few weeks after suffering from a sprained ankle in his team’s Philippine Cup debut against NorthPort Batang Pier.

Talking to One Sports during the Phoenix’s match against Terrafirma Dyip, Tio revealed that his injury is not as severe as they initially thought,

“I just came from a checkup yesterday. Parang, it’s not as bad as we initially thought. So good news. No need for surgery. And hopefully, in a few weeks, I’ll be good,” said Tyler.

Pogoy will join Team Japeth for the main All-Star Game, which returns to Bacolod City for the first time since 2008.

RR's teammates with Team Japeth are Christian Stanhardinger, Paul Lee, Calvin Oftana, Jamie Malonzo, Chris Newsome, Don Trollano, Marcio Lassiter, Arvin Tolentino, Maverick Ahanmisi, Stanley Pringle, and Terrence Romeo.
