NorthPort dumps Magnolia, clinches first semis berth in PBA Commissioner

The NorthPort Batang Pier bucked a slow start before cruising to a win over the Magnolia Chicken Timplados Hotshots, 113-110, in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup on Thursday, Feb. 6. 

With the win, the Batang Pier reach the semifinals for the first time in six years or since the 2019 Governors’ Cup.

NorthPort saw six players in double-digits, with import Kadeem Jack leading the offense with 30 points along with 10 rebounds, three assists, five steals, and three blocks.

Arvin Tolentino led the locals with 25 points, while William Navarro tallied 15 points, and Evan Nelle and Allyn Bulanadi notched 12 apiece.

Mark Barocca spearheaded Magnolia's offense with 26 points and 10 assists.

NorthPort now awaits the winner between Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings and Meralco Meralco Bolts.
