KKD’s absence during the PVL Invitational semis was a big blow for the Cargo Movers
The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers are officially out of finals contention after falling to foreign guest team Kurashiki Ablaze in straight sets in the PVL Invitational Conference round robin semifinals.
Some fans pointed out that missing the services of Kim Kianna Dy is one of the main reasons for the team’s decline in recent games.
Even Myla Pablo herself admitted that the talents of Dy could have alleviated the pressure on them.
“Hindi naman sa hinahanap namin si Kianna sa loob ng court, pero malaking bagay din talaga si Kianna sa amin especially sa blocking, sa opensa niya,” Pablo said duirng the post-game press conference on Tuesday.
“So 'yun nga, sabi namin para kay Kianna ‘tong game na ‘to pero hindi namin nakuha yung win, pero at least ibinigay namin 'yung best namin.”
Dy missed her second consecutive game due to a right knee injury she sustained in the fourth set of their semis match versus the Creamline Cool Smashers.
Regardless of the Cargo Movers' chances to compete for the PVL crown, Pablo said that Dy's full recovery will always be the utmost priority.
Health still comes first for F2 Logistics. Myla should know, as she got the same cautious treatment from the club when she got injured in the PVL All-Filipino Conference earlier this year.
“Si Kianna kasi namamaga 'yung tuhod niya,” said Pablo. “I think three weeks ata 'yung pahinga niya so hindi namin pwedeng pilitin 'yung bata. Siyempre health [niya 'yun].”
“May next conference pa naman eh, so I think mas better na rin na ipahinga namin si Kianna this conference,” Pablo added.
