The Cool Smashers are very supportive.
Creamline Cool Smashers made a shocking announcement on Wednesday that they were releasing prized middle blocker Ced Domingo.
That’s because Domingo is set to play overseas, following in the footsteps of teammate Jia de Guzman who joined Japan’s Denso Airybees. It’s not clear where Domingo will suit up, though.
Domingo sat out Creamline’s opening win against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans. Fans didn’t know they wouldn’t see her don Creamline’s colors for the rest of the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference, and, perhaps beyond.
As stinging as her departure was, Creamline only expressed its support for the former Finals MVP, who won four championships with the Cool Smashers.
“While this decision impacts our own team's title chances, we believe that supporting her in achieving her personal goals and in being recognized as one of a handful of Filipina volleyball players to be invited as a foreign reinforcement is an important part of our commitment to her growth,” Creamline said in a statement.
Most fans, if not all, shared the same sentiment.
“I just know that Ced Domingo deserves all the good things,” said X user @jaembunnies.
@christianrabusa couldn’t agree more.
“OMAYGADDD SOBRANG DESERVE!!!!” the netizen said.
No one saw this coming, right? Still, @minggopuppy and the rest of the Creamline fans are happy for “The Finisher.”
“This is so sudden but good luck on your new adventure, ced 'the finisher' domingo!” the user said.
Where to next, Ced?
“Feeling ko Thailand bound itong si Ced Domingo!!!” @nuwvtcontents said.
