Petro Gazz sent Farm Fresh crashing in straight sets, 25-21, 27-25, 25-19, in the 2024 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the PhilSports Arena on Thursday, March 14.

Brooke Van Sickle upped the ante once more, resetting her league-high of 26 points built on 20 attacks, three blocks and three aces.

The Filipina-American stalwart also had nine digs to lead the Angels to a 4-1 card for a momentary solo hold of the second spot.

Van Sickle came out firing right from the get-go as Petro Gazz zoomed to an early buffer.

Farm Fresh, however, established its footing in the second frame, sprinting to a 24-21 edge.

A second-set win for the Foxies seemed imminent but the Angels went on a 6-1 run capped by a Van Sickle hit to snatch a two-set lead.

Petro Gazz did not let up in the decisive third, creating crucial separation en route to the finish line.

Jonah Sabete was also instrumental in the sweep as she chipped in 11 points, while Remy Palma and Joy Dacoron added six and five markers, respectively.

Meanwhile, Rizza Cruz paced the losing side with 11 points as the Foxies failed to follow up on their shock sweep over Chery Tiggo the last time out and fell to 2-3.

Trisha Tubu was limited to just eight points after a previous 18-marker showing, while Louie Romero managed 13 excellent sets.

Petro Gazz seeks to carry over the momentum when it faces the Crossovers on March 21, Thursday, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.

Farm Fresh, on the other hand, tries to get back on the winning track when it takes on PLDT on March 23, Saturday, at the Ynares Center Antipolo.
