Not a one-woman team, but a bunch of fierce, feisty players.

This is what main setter Louie Romero emphasized in the aftermath of the Farm Fresh Foxies’ straight-set dismissal of the Capital1 Solar Spikers to stay in playoff contention in the PVL Reinforced Conference.

“Sa team kasi namin hindi lang isa, dalawa yung gumagawa. Lahat po kami nagko-contribute,” Romero highlighted behind a 16-excellent set game in a much-needed win.

Coming into the game on a two-game skid, Farm Fresh cast the cloud on Capital1’s three-game skid with four players scoring nine points or more.

Yeny Murillo paced the squad with 15 markers, while Trisha Tubu chipped in 12 points and Caitlin Viray and Rizza Cruz contributed nine apiece.

Both Romero and Tubu credited their coaching staff for a well-crafted scouting on Solar Spiker import Marina Tushova, who scored only 18 total markers after exploding for 49 points in the last outing.

“Siguro yung coaching staff namin, talagang pinag-aralan lang din siya [Tushova]. Sobra yung scouting [report] nila sa import given n sobrant taas niya mag-point na siya yung bumubuhay sa Capital1,” Romero said.

Tubu added: “Nagtiwala kami sa scouting nila and nagtrust kami sa gameplan namin.”

Farm Fresh aims for a winning finish in the import-laden tournament when they face the unbeaten Akari Chargers on Tuesday, August 20.
