The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles added another promising spiker in Chai Troncoso to boost their upcoming campaign in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles continue to boost their roster after signing outside hitter Chai Troncoso for the upcoming 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
Troncoso had been with the Cignal HD Spikers since 2022, mostly being a spark plug off the bench. Now with ZUS Coffee, Troncoso could have a chance to have more minutes as she joins a youthful roster looking to score a first franchise win in the PVL.
Troncoso was among the handul of players that were notably missing during Cignal’s most recent PVL Media Day, sparking questions on whether or not her time with the team was up.
She will be reunited with fellow Ilongga Jovelyn Gonzaga, who joined the Thunderbelles during this offseason as well.

Come the extended All-Filipino Conference, ZUS Coffee should have enough pieces to compete against some of the top teams in the league, especially with the anticipated debut of no. 1 pick Thea Gagate.
The Thunderbelles will begin their season on Nov. 14 as they face the Akari Chargers at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan.
