Creamline opened its 5-peat bid in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference with a convincing straight-sets win against Petro Gazz, 25-19, 25-22, 25-16, at the Ynares Center Antipolo on Saturday, Nov. 16.

The Cool Smashers' first game of the new PVL season also saw the return of Alyssa Valdez after sitting out the 2024 Reinforced Conference due to a knee injury.

Despite playing limited minutes, Valdez spearheaded Creamline’s 11-2 run to take a 22-15 lead in the third frame.

After a point from Jonah Sabete, Lorie Bernando closed out the game for the Cool Smashers with three straight points for win no. 1 of the new All-Filipino Conference.

Jema Galanza led the way for Creamline with 13 points built on 10 attacks, one block, and two service aces.

Creamline will have a week off as the Grand Slam champs head to Candon City, Ilocos Sur where they will face the Akari Chargers next.

Meanwhile, Petro Gazz (1-1) aims to bounce back against the Farm Fresh Foxies also next Saturday, Nov. 23 in Ilocos Sur.
