In their past two games, EJ Laure has been putting up solid numbers for the Nxled Chameleons in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
EJ Laure and the Nxled Chameleons came close to securing their biggest win in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Chameleons fell short against the Choco Mucho Flying Titans, falling in five sets, 21-25, 25-23, 25-21, 23-25, 10-15, at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig on Thursday, February 13.
After leading Nxled to its first win in the conference, Laure topped her performance further, dropping 20 points and 21 excellent digs in the loss.
Despite her standout performance, the 27-year-old spiker would've wanted to get the win as well for the young Chameleons.
"Kulang pa kasi nga talo pero nakikita at nararamdaman ko naman na nandun na ‘yung effort ko at effort naming lahat,” Laure told reporters after the match.
Still, Laure is glad to see the effort being put in by her teammates finally showing on the taraflex.
“Sinabi ko nga sa inyo nung past few games namin na grabe na talaga ‘yung nilalaro ng team namin, ‘yung competitiveness sa training, ito na ‘yun, lumalabas na paunti-unti,” she shared.

Prior to joining Nxled, Laure had struggled to find her form after dealing with a shoulder injury.
But now, the former UST standout has been shining for the Ettore Guidetti-led squad, which she says has had a huge impact on her rejuvenated form.
“Si coach Ettore, nag-one-on-one sa’min, kinakausap kami isa-isa. Grabe ‘yung sabi nga ni Chiara [Permentilla] na words of affirmation niya sa’min at sa mga kinikilos namin,” said Laure.
