Four players were in double digits for the Lady Falcons.
After a tough five-set loss to the National University Lady Bulldogs, the Adamson Lady Falcons bounced back for their second win on Saturday.
The hosts beat the Far Eastern University Lady Tamaraws in four sets, 25-21, 24-26, 25-14, 25-21.
For the Lady Falcons, the key was just to keep it light.
"Nakikinig lang kami sa coaches namin, execute nang tama para manalo sa game ngayon at mag-enjoy at mag-relax lang," Lorene Toring said after the match. She had 14 points off 9 attacks, 3 blocks, and 2 aces.
Three more players were in double digits—Kate Santiago with 18, Trisha Tubu with 13, and Rizza Cruz with 10.
After Coach Tina Salak's FEU managed to snatch the extended second set, 26-24, the Lady Falcons had to remind themselves to not be so pressured.
"Sinabi ko sa kanila ilabas 'yung kung ano kami," Toring shared. "Second set kasi medyo we're so quiet. Kasi ang natural namin makulit, maingay. Sabi ko just enjoy the game."
And they did with an 11-point difference in the third frame.
What Adamson struggled with, however, was the 17 errors they committed, especially during the fourth set.
It was up to coach Jerry Yee and the rest of the Adamson staff to help keep the girls' spirits high.
"Kita niyo body language namin parang hirap buhayin," Yee said. "Tulungan kami. Kung wala sila, kami ang mag-iinspire sa kanila."
He's also proud of his young guns like Tubu, a rookie who has actually played with Adamson even in high school.
"I'm very happy na bumalik siya. So ang laking tulong," Yee said. "Ang dami naming rookie na veterans. Hindi young or inexperienced."
Adamson will be going up against fourth-ranked UST Golden Tigresses on March 8, Wednesday at 2 p.m. While FEU will be taking on the third-ranked Ateneo Blue Eagles at 12 p.m. on the same day.
