This is what hoopers dream of.
The Adamson Soaring Falcons led only one time against the Ateneo Blue Eagles in their first meeting in the UAAP Season 86. Fortunately for the cagers from San Marcelino, that lead came at the final buzzer as Vince Magbuhos sank the dagger three in overtime to steal the win.
Adamson trailed by as many as 19 points before closing regulation with an 11-3 run to tie the game at 69 after 40 minutes of action. The two squads were even at 71 in the dying seconds of the extra period when Magbuhos heaved the game-winner.
"Madaming pumapasok sa isip ko, kung pupunta ba sa akin bola, ipapasa ko ba o ititira ko ba," Magbuhos shared during the post-game interview. He finished with 11 points.
"Hindi nagawa 'yung play, pagkakuha ko ng bola, broken play na, buti naman pumasok."
According to the Soaring Falcon who was celebrating his 24th birthday, he only has one wish for his special day and that is to get the W against Ateneo.
Safe to say that prayer was answered with a bonus.
"Nag-pray ako kaninang umaga. Hiniling ko kung mayroon man Siyang ibibigay na gift ngayong araw na 'to, 'yung panalo. Tinupad naman Niya prayers ko."
The Soaring Falcons improved to a 2-1 win-loss record while the Blue Eagles fall to 1-2.
