The elimination round of the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament is down to its last three weeks, meaning that every game from here on out will be crucial for all the teams.

Even as three spots have been filled in the Final Four, the remaining teams continue battle it out. But even for those moving on to the tournament's next round, a positioning battle remains crucial in their hopes of bringing home the UAAP crown.

With that in mind, check out how Week 9 of Season 86 is shaping up.

April 9, 2024 (Tuesday)

Adamson vs. FEU (2:00 p.m.)

A crucial battle will ensue between the Lady Falcons and Lady Tamaraws at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Should FEU snatch another victory, the last Final Four seat is essentially theirs as they currently sit with a 5-4 record.

But of course, Adamson, sitting with a 3-7 record, will try to do something about that.

De La Salle vs. UE (4:00 p.m.)

This will be the second game for the Lady Spikers without superstar Angel Canino.

While DLSU has had great success over UE over the past decade, De La Salle knows better not to underestimate opponents, especially with super rookie Casiey Dongallo leading the Lady Warriors.

April 10, 2024 (Wednesday)

UST vs. UP  (2:00 p.m.)

In the first match on Wednesday, the Golden Tigresses (9-1) will look to make quick work of the struggling Fighting Maroons (1-9).

UST super rookie Angge Poyos is coming off her career-high of 31 points and is eyeing another strong outing against UP, as the Golden Tigresses look to lock up the no. 1 seed in the playoffs.

Ateneo vs. NU (4:00 p.m.)

The Lady Bulldogs, meanwhile, are hoping to continue their dominant run in the second round as they face a gritty Blue Eagles squad, who are coming off a crucial loss against the Lady Tamaraws.

In the first round, Ateneo and NU went the distance. But this time around, the Lady Bulldogs are hoping to put away the Blue Eagles with as little trouble as possible, with wins and points becoming all the more crucial in the race for the top-2.

April 13, 2024 (Saturday)

Adamson vs. UP (2:00 p.m.)

Both the Fighting Maroons and Lady Falcons have struggled throughout the tournament, and a win over the other could give them a confidence boost that they badly need.

The game could come in handy as well for Adamson and the Lady Falcons' Final Four hopes should they manage to upset FEU on Tuesday.

FEU vs. UST (4:00 p.m.)

The Golden Tigresses are in for a tough bout against the Lady Tamaraws.

If this is anything like their first-round encounter, UST will need to pull off all the stops to secure the victory over FEU.

April 14, 2024 (Sunday)

UE vs. Ateneo  (2:00 p.m.)

Depending on how their match goes against NU, the Blue Eagles will look to keep their Final Four hopes alive with a win over the Lady Warriors.

Ateneo will also look to exact their revenge against UE, who defeated them during the opening day of Season 86.

De La Salle vs. NU (4:00 p.m.)

And what better way to end the week than a rematch of the Season 84 and 85 Finals?

With Canino’s playing status still up in the air, the Lady Bulldogs could finally end their five-game losing skid against the Lady Spikers.

But expect La Salle to put up a fight even without the reigning MVP, as the champs look to be in the hunt for the top spot and a twice-to-beat advantage.
