Defending champion La Salle became the first team to formally qualify for the Final Four in UAAP Season 87 men's basketball as it routed Adamson, 70-45, in their second round encounter at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion in Manila on Saturday, Oct. 19.
Improving to 9-1 after chalking up its sixth straight win against the Falcons, the Green Archers now cannot do worse than fourth place, thus ensuring themselves a spot in the semifinals.
Reigning Most Valuable Player Kevin Quiambao continued to be the steady contributor for DLSU as he finished with 17 points, six rebounds and three assists.
The Green Archers ran away with the ball game as early as the second quarter where they outscored their foes, 25-11, in the frame.
