After the historic bronze finish of Alas Pilipinas in the recently concluded 2024 AVC Challenge Cup for Women's, the caring partners of team captain Jia Morado-de Guzman, Dawn Macandili-Catindig, and Thea Gagate made them feel like champions.
As they say, behind a successful queen is a supportive king who pours endless love, support, and cheers.
Warning: Too much kilig incoming; bawal mangurot ng katabi. Kidding!
Excited hubby
The ever-supportive husband of decorated Kapitana Jia can’t contain his excitement and was the first one to post her achievement on social media than his wife.
“Me… and my best half OF COURSE MAS EXCITED ULIT MAG POST YUNG ASAWA!” wrote Jia’s long-time husband, Miguel, on Instagram.
I mean, how can you not flex when your spouse is THE Jia Morado-de Guzman, who, aside from orchestrating the historical podium finish of the Alas Pilipinas, was also the Best Setter in the AVC?
2. May nanalo na!
Diego may not be the one who actually played on the national team, but he already felt like a champ after hugging his wife, Alas Pilipinas’ libero, Dawn Macandili-Catindig.
“Congrats love, and to [the] Alas Pilipinas! Ako pa rin talaga ang pinakapanalo nang dahil sa’yo,” he wrote on his Instagram story.
3. Hard launch: official!
The Sean Alter-Thea Gagate ship has officially sailed. After Thea hard launched her boyfriend on his birthday, UP Fighting Maroons’ Sean Alter was seen watching the game of Alas Pilipinas’ towering middle blocker.
“Unbelievably proud of you,” posted Sean.
Sean also shared with One Sports his message for Thea.
“It makes me so proud of how good she’s been doing. [She's] playing at such a different level right now, in college, and she’s doing so amazing. And I couldn’t be more proud,” he said.
Tugon: Sene ell!
