It’s Alyssa Solomon's second Best Opposite Spiker award in the SEA V.League, winning the same plum in the second leg last year while playing for a team mainly composed of National University standouts.
Alyssa Solomon is settling in quite nicely with Alas Pilipinas.
Solomon was named Best Opposite Spiker in Leg 2 of the 2024 SEA V.League, where Alas once again bagged the bronze medal.
It’s Alyssa’s second Best Opposite Spiker award in the SEA V.League, winning the same plum in the second leg last year while playing for a team mainly backed by National University.
Solomon’s citation makes her the third Alas player to win individual awards in this year’s SEA V.League. Jia De Guzman and Thea Gagate won Best Setter and Best Middle Blocker, respectively, in the first leg.

In the bronze-clinching win over Indonesia, Solomon powered Alas with 25 points, 21 from attacks and four from blocks.

The NU star is the second player to win Best Opposite Spiker since the national team was rebranded to Alas Pilipinas this year, following on the exploits of Angel Canino during the AVC Challenge Cup for Women.
