The former Letran Knights superstar left the Philippines in 2022 to pursue his professional career abroad. Last January, Abando won the Slam Dunk Contest in the KBL. Abando and the Anyang KGC will come back in the KBL with another title push in mind.
Anyang KGC won the 2021 KBL trophy, before losing to the Seoul SK Knights in their back-to-back title bid the following year.
