In a massive confidence booster ahead of the FIFA Women's World Cup, the Philippine women’s national football team climbed the world rankings again.

The Filipinas moved up by three spots to 46th place.

Members of the historic Filipinas squad were hyped as the Philippines rose to its highest ranking yet.

Attacking midfielder Katrina Guillou said their recent achievement is something special.

Another midfielder, Carleigh Frilles said that it’s insane for the Philippines to move up by 20 spots in just two years. Another proof that the program is rapidly moving in the right direction under the guidance of coach Alen Stajcic.

“So proud of this team,” Frilles added.

Eva Madarang has a simpler but straight-to-the-point response.

The Filipinas are set to fly to Australia to start their intense training camp ahead of the FIFA Women’s World Cup in July.
