Getting it right.

Matthew Wright makes it a whole lineup in Japan, becoming the fifth Filipino Asian Quota Player to score 1,000 regular season points in the B.League Division 1.

Scoring his first basket for Kyoto Sunday, Wright joined Thirdy and Kiefer Ravena, Dwight Ramos, and Ray Parks Jr. for the distinction.

But among the five, Wright is the fastest to reach 1k, doing it in 80 games. Kiefer previously did it the fastest, breaking 1,000 after 82 games with Shiga.

Playing his second season in Japan, Wright is averaging 10.9 points per game entering Sunday’s clash against Chiba. He averaged 13.4 points last season.

Among all Filipino Asian Quota Players in Japan and Korea, Wright also holds the distinction for most points in a single game, scoring 31 points against San-en NeoPhoenix earlier this season.
