Jaja Santiago makes V1 "Best 6" for second straight season

Looking at it on a more positive side, Jaja Santiago just had her best season ever in Japan’s V1.

 

Santiago’s JT Marvelous finished with a silver at the conclusion of the V.Final Stage Sunday, marking her highest finish in Japan’s top division.

On top of her silver medal, Jaja Santiago also won Best Middle Blocker from the V.Final Stage, making it her second straight season in Japan’s Best Six. She was likewise given the Fighting Spirit award from the final round.

 

From the regular season, Jaja bagged the spike and block awards.

Despite playing less matches under the new V1 format, Jaja averaged 11.7 points per game for JT, which ties her career-high in Japan.

 

She also averaged 3.08 blocks per game, the second-highest of her career in Japan, trailing only her 2022 season when she had a career-high 103 blocks in 33 games.
