Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo wins four gold medals in an impressive showing at 2024 Men's Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Uzbekistan.
UPDATED (May 20, 2024) - A strong haul of gold for the Golden Boy.
After his previous wins in all-around and floor exercise, Carlo Yulo added gold medals from vault and parallel bars to complete his stint in the 2024 Men's Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships.
In vault, Yulo averaged 14.883 points, good enough to fight off Uzbekistan's Abdulaziz Mirvaliev and Muhammad Sharul Aimy of Malaysia, who averaged 14.783 and 14.446, respectively.
Over in parallel bars, Yulo put it together and scored 15.133 points, beating China's Yin Dehang for the gold.
Of his four gold medal wins, Yulo made it a three-peat in floor exercise, vault, and parallel bars.

Filipino gymnast Carlos Yulo appears to be peaking at the right time ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
Yulo clinched the gold medal in the floor exercise at the 2024 Men's Artistic Gymnastics Asian Championships in Uzbekistan on Saturday.
Yulo's performance in the floor exercise earned him a score of 14.933, just edging out Kazakhstan's Milad Karimi, who scored 14.600. China's Yang Yanzhi placed third with a score of 14.200.
Fellow Filipino gymnast John Ivan Cruz narrowly missed the podium with a score of 13.966.
Yulo, however, did not place in the top three for the still rings competition after scoring 13.533, which was in the lower half of the standings.
Still, it's been a relatively strong stint for Yulo in Uzbekistan. Prior to his floor exercise gold, Yulo had also secured the gold medal in the all-around after totaling 84.931 points in the floor exercise, pommel horse, still rings, vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar.
Yulo outperformed Milad Karimi of Kazakhstan, who took the silver with 84.632 points, and local favorite Abdullah Azimov, who finished third with 82.431 points.
The 24-year-old Filipino secured silver medals in the individual all-around at the Asian Championships in Qatar and Singapore in 2022 and 2023, respectively.
The 4-foot-11 Yulo also advanced to the Finals in the vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar events, which will take place on Sunday.
Before these Asian Championships, Yulo won gold in the parallel bars and silver in the vault during the Doha leg of last month's FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Cup series.
