The Cignal HD Spikers just got a huge boost in time for the Spikers’ Turf Invitational Conference.

The team on Monday, June 24, announced the return of Louie Ramirez to the already-stacked lineup bannered by Bryan Bagunas and Jau Umandal.

The two MVP spikers helped Cignal to back-to-back Open Conference crowns at the expense of Criss Cross King Crunchers last month.

“Things just got more interesting in Team Awesome’s domain as NCAA Season 99 MVP and Collegiate Press Corps’ NCAA Men’s Volleyball Player of Year Louie Ramirez returns to boost the squad in the forthcoming Spikers' Turf conferences,” the team said in the announcement to mark the return of Ramirez.

The signing of the former NCAA MVP and three-peat champion from Perpetual Help came almost a month since Cignal added four-peat NU champion Joshua Retamar. The HD Spikers also signed UAAP standouts JM Ronquillo and Martin Bugaon.

Ramirez is returning to Cignal after last playing with the team in the 2022 Open Conference.

After that, the 6-foot-3 outside hitter spent the 2023 season with the Imus City AJAA Spikers, who finished third place in the Open Conference.
