Meralco Bolts take on longtime playoff rivals Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Gin Kings in Game 1 of their best-of-three quarterfinal series in the PBA Season 49 Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday, Feb. 5.

The match is set at 7:30 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

Meralco, which finished with a 7-5 record, is determined to shake off back-to-back losses to Ginebra (87-91) and Magnolia (92-129) at the end of the eliminations.

The Bolts are eager to rewrite history in this familiar playoff rivalry, where Ginebra has dominated, winning seven of their last nine postseason encounters.

Now, with another chapter set to unfold, the Bolts must quickly regroup and make the necessary adjustments if they want to gain the upper hand in this battle for a semifinals ticket.
