One Sports caught up with San Miguel forward Jeron Teng to learn more about his faith in time for the Holy Week.
Apart from being an athlete, Jeron Teng is also a husband and a father.
And in juggling these roles, Teng asks the guidance of God.
One Sports chatted with the San Miguel forward before the Holy Week break to learn more about his faith.

One Sports: What are the three things that you thank God for in your daily prayers?
Jeron Teng: Siyempre, grateful ako. Una sa lahat, I’m still alive. I’m healthy, and I’m able to do the things I love to do. Second, of course, 'yong family ko. I have a wife and a baby now. Ibang joy 'yong nadadala ng having a family, so I'm really blessed. Third one is that I’m still playing the sport that I love. I don’t take it for granted.
OS: What are the three things that you ask God for in your daily prayers?
Teng: It’s always to guide me as a person, as an athlete, as a husband, as a father. It’s a continuous growth for me. I always pray na I’m always the best person that I can be.
OS: Do you observe any religious practices during the Holy Week?
Teng: Nagbi-Visita Iglesia kami. Usually, Visita Iglesia tapos sa Sunday, nagma-Mass kami.

OS: Do you have any specific prayer intention when you do these religious practices?
Teng: Just to thank God for all His sacrifices and for dying for all of us, for our sins. 'Yon lang ang ipinagdarasal ko 'pag Mahal na Araw.
OS: Do you have any religious devotion?
Teng: I just go to church. Wala namang specific.
