Quincy Miller disappointed in his debut with San Miguel in the East Asia Super League (EASL) on Wednesday, Oct. 2.

Miller finished with a measly eight points on 2-for-12 shooting from the field while registering five rebounds, three assists and three blocks in the Beermen’s 81-87 loss to Suwon KT Sonicboom at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

But San Miguel coach Jorge Gallent is not making a big deal about it.

For Gallent, the former high-scoring Converge and TNT import simply had an off night.

“Quincy has been practicing hard… everybody has bad days,” Gallent said shortly after the match.

“He’s been shooting in practice. He’s been lifting weights. He’s been practicing hard coming into this game.”

While Miller had a subpar outing, EJ Anosike had a field day for the Beermen.

Anosike submitted 34 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals in his EASL debut. But his efforts proved futile.

The Beermen will no longer dwell on this loss, though, as they have another job to take care of, this time in the PBA, as they aim to finish off Converge in the ongoing Governors’ Cup quarterfinals.

Game 4 is set on Friday, Oct. 2, at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium.
