The Taoyuan Pauian Pilots used a fourth-quarter surge to silence the Suwon KT Sonicboom, 91-70, at the Suwon KT Sonicboom Arena in Korea on Wednesday, October 23.

After coming off of a win over the San Miguel Beermen earlier this month, the Sonicboom fell flat in the fourth canto after they were outscored, 25-7, by the road team.

The Pilots even started the period with a 15-0 burst led by Treveon Graham and Alec Brown, blowing the game wide open after only leading by three points, 66-63, at the end of the third quarter.

But it was defense that proved pivotal for the visiting team as they forced the Sonicboom to a sorry 17 percent shooting from the field in the final period of play.

Graham paced the Pilots in the victory to finish with a game-high 32 points on 13-of-20 shooting. He also had 11 rebounds, and five assists.

Brown, meanwhile, had 25 markers with four made three-pointers. He added nine boards, four assists, one steal, and one block as well.

Suwon skipper Hoon Heo paced the home team in the losing effort with 21 points, one rebound, four assists, and one steal.

The Pilots, making their EASL debut after qualifying through Taiwan's P.LEAGUE+, are now 1-0 for the year and will face the San Miguel Beermen next on November 13 at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig City.

Meanwhile, the Suwon KT Sonicboom will have a lengthy break and play on December 4 next against the Hiroshima Dragonflies.
