Many athletes celebrated Thanksgiving Day on Thursday, including some PBA players like Chris Ross, Gabe Norwood, Simon Enciso, and Mo Tautuaa, among others.

It's no secret that they have a lot of stuff to be extremely grateful for. They play the game they love. They have a comfortable life. They get to share their talent with their fans.

But for Tautuaa, there's another special thing to be extra thankful for. Its importance in the lives of Filipinos throughout the years couldn't be overstated. It enriches the soul like no other.

Lumpia.

The San Miguel Beermen center posted on Instagram Story a hilarious meme about how beloved lumpia is. The fact that it had New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson in it only made it even funnier.

"No lumpia safe," wrote Tautuaa.

Yeah, Tautuua knows what's up.

Clearly, the Filipino-Tongan, who grew up in California, has fully embraced his heritage with his love for the wrapped goodness.

You all can have your turkey and stuffing, leave the lumpia to Filipinos. Right, Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra?

The 34-year-old Tautuaa also showed a key update on rookie teammate Kyt Jimenez, who suffered a facial injury in their win over the Meralco Bolts.

In a video he also shared on Instagram Story, Tautuaa teased Jimenez to do the super sacred "beautiful eyes"—another uniquely Filipino thing—during a team gathering. It showed that Jimenez's previous swelling on right eye had already subsided.

That's another thing they should be thankful for.

But yeah, lumpia.

The Beermen will roll (get it?) into action anew this Saturday against the Converge FiberXers in Tiaong, Quezon.

Catch it live at 6 p.m. on A2Z, PBA Rush, and the Pilipinas Live app.
