News broke out on Monday that former Terrafirma Dyip guard Alex Cabagnot will be playing in the Korean Basketball League (KBL) as part of the Goyang Sono Skygunners.

Everyone in the Philippine basketball scene is saying the same thing: Age is just a number for the 41-year-old playmaker.

And we can't blame 'em.

Cabagnot will be replacing former Blackwater Bossing guard Joshua Torralba, who suffered an injury.

At the forefront of those cheering The Crunchman on are the young guns who chose to play overseas after their collegiate stints, such as RJ Abarrientos, now with the Shinshu Brave Warriors in the Japan B.League.

"Love to see it @cabaggie_5," commented Juan Gomez de Liaño, who balls for the Seoul SK Knights in the KBL.

He was also a former player of the UP Fighting Maroons, where Cabagnot used to work as a skills coach.

"Lets go Kuya @cabaggie_5 ???🔥," wrote SJ Belangel, another young Pinoy baller in the KBL, who is currently with the Daegu KOGAS Pegasus.

Controversial PBA star Mikey Williams also chimed in. Although he’s not in the league right now, he continues to support his PBA brothers.

"Easy now love to see it turn up," commented Williams, whose contract with the TNT Tropang Giga recently got terminated.

"Let’s go!!!! 🐐" added Cabagnot's former teammate in Terrafirma, Juami Tiongson.

Chris Gavina, a former Terrafirma coach, had nothing but encouragement for Cabagnot.

"Get ready for breakfast club in Korea in January," he shared on his Instagram Story.

"I knew you were ready for Korea after beating our #PattyMillsDrill," Gavina added.

He also emphasized Cabagnot’s new chapter with lyrics from popular song “Remember the Name” by Fort Minor.

"This is ten percent luck, twenty percent skill, fifteen percent concentrated power of will, five percent pleasure, fifty percent pain. And a hundred percent reason to remember the name," Gavina quoted.

Cabagnot played in the PBA from 2005 until 2023. He was a nine-time champion with the San Miguel Beermen and a Finals MVP in the 2017 Commissioner's Cup.

He last played for the Terrafirma Dyip in the last PBA Governors' Cup, averaging 7.4 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists.

Go get that boost, Cabaggie!
