Alyssa Valdez remains hopeful that her right knee issue is nothing serious after exiting because of it during Creamline's duel with Cignal in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference Saturday, Feb. 1.

Valdez entered the court midway in the second set and was subbed out late in the frame. She was then seen tending to her knee.

The three-time league Most Valuable Player finished without a point as she remained on the bench as the Cool Smashers forged an escape over the HD Spikers, 25-19, 26-24, 23-25, 23-25, 15-9, to remain immaculate in seven matches.

She later assured fans that she was feeling much better following initial assessments.

"I'm doing well. I hope nothing serious naman 'yung nangyari."

Valdez shared that she plans to undergo further checkups to ensure that her knee is fine.

"We’re just going to wait and see kung ano 'yung further instructions. Hopefully, sana wala na rin," Valdez said.

"[I'll have it checked] just to make sure. For sure, 'yung doctors naman mag-a-update and 'yung mga PT din namin."

Valdez credited the Creamline coaching staff for being attuned to the players' conditions, saying that head coach Sherwin Meneses immediately recognized something was off.

"Isang tingin lang kay coach Sherwin, alam na niya at in-acknowledge niya rin na medyo may hindi ako maayos na nararamdaman," Valdez said.
