A day before the PBA Draft of Season 49, Barangay Ginebra goes up to number three while getting young guns in Stephen Holt and Isaac Go.
Barangay Ginebra San Miguel decided to shake up their roster and make way for younger players by acquiring Stephen Holt and Isaac Go from the Terrafirma Dyip, in exchange for Christian Standhardinger and Stanley Pringle on Saturday, the PBA announced.
Ginebra and Terrafirma also swapped picks a day before the PBA Draft Season 49, with the Barangay going up to up number three while Dyip goes down to number 10.
Cone earlier said he was looking for a big man and a point guard in Sunday's draft.
Barangay Ginebra lost to the San Miguel Beermen in the Comissioner's Cup semifinals and then bowed to the Meralco Bolts in the Philippine Cup semifinals. They have also suffered depletions with the injuries to Scottie Thompson and Jamie Malonzo.
Meanwhile, Terrafirma is having a breakout season with top draft pick Stephen Holt. They reached the Philippine Cup quarterfinals, but lost to San Miguel.
Holt is also the runaway leader for the Season 48 Rookie of the Year race.

Ironically, this is a homecoming of sorts for Standhardinger and Terrafirma. CStan was drafted number one by the San Miguel Beermen back in 2017.
That pick originally belonged to Kia Picanto (now called Terrafirma), in exchange for Ronald Tubid, Jay-R Reyes, Rashawn McCarthy, and San Miguel's 2019 first round pick.
Go was also Columbian Dyip's (now called Terrafirma) first pick in the 2019 special Gilas draft.
