PBA is sending Season 48’s best teams in the EASL for their home-and-away season.
The PBA is deploying the San Miguel Beermen and the Meralco Bolts to the East Asia Super League (EASL) 2024-25 season which starts in October.
Winners of the PBA Season 48 Commissioner’s Cup, the Beermen will make their return to the regional league where they will join Japan B.League champions Hiroshima Dragonflies, Korean Basketball League’s (KBL) Suwon KT Sonicboom, and P.LEAGUE+ Taoyuan Pauian Pilots in Group A.
Meanwhile, first time PBA champions Bolts are bunched together with Japan’s Ryukyu Golden Kings, KBL champions Busa KCC Egis, and the New Taipei Kings in Group B action.
The Philippine Cup champs will see action in the home-and-away season for the second straight year.

“The PBA is excited to send two of its champion teams to compete in EASL. The San Miguel Beermen and the Meralco Bolts showed their strength last season by winning the Commissioner’s Cup and Philippine Cup, respectively,” said PBA commissioner Willie Marcial.
“They will represent Filipino basketball with pride and we hope that one of them will be crowned the champion of East Asia next season.”
