Before being shipped to Ginebra, Stephen Holt helped Terrafirma score its first playoff win in the Philippine Cup quarterfinals before bowing out.
Stephen Holt was hailed PBA Season 48 Rookie of the Year during the Leo Awards on Sunday, Aug. 18, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Before being traded to Ginebra in the offseason, Holt helped Terrafirma improve by leaps and bounds.

With the help of guys like Juami Tiongson and Javi Gomez de Liano, Holt guided the Dyip to the Philippine Cup quarterfinals where they scored a historic win over eventual finalist San Miguel.
He bested NorthPort’s Cade Flores and Adrian Nocum of Rain or Shine for the award.

The 32-year-old Holt made up for a so-so performance in the season-opening Commissioner’s Cup as he turned in a tour-de-force showing in the Philippine Cup with 21 points, 8.4 rebounds and 6.6 assists while shooting 52 percent from the field.
