San Miguel remains listless against a Ginebra side featuring Justin Brownlee in the PBA playoffs.
Move on and get better.
San Miguel has no other recourse but to do just that in the aftermath of a stinging loss to Ginebra in the PBA Season 49 Governors’ Cup semifinals.
Cjay Perez admited the Gin Kings simply outclassed the Beermen in the series that concluded in Ginebra’s 102-99 Game 6 win on Sunday, October 20.
“Ginebra is a tough team talaga. Sobrang disiplina nila, ganda ng depensa,” said Perez shortly after the match at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

This latest loss brings the playoffs tally between the teams to 0-6 since Justin Brownlee came on board in 2016.
The 6-foot-2 gunner said the Beermen will do everything in its power to score on against the beloved Brownlee, perhaps in the upcoming Commissioner’s Cup.

“Sa susunod kami naman. Gagawin namin best namin to get better. Next conference sana matalo namin si Justin,” said Perez, who finished with 13 points, six rebounds, eight assists, and three steals in the Game 6 loss.
In the meantime, the Beermen will take a short break before hitting the ground running again in time for the mid-season conference.
“Kami naman we just need to move on and get better,” he said.
