Former De La Salle Lady Spiker Fifi Sharma surprised quite a lot of people back in early July when she was spotted rocking an Akari Chargers shirt while watching the team open its PVL Invitational Conference campaign.

A couple of days later, she was formally introduced as the Chargers’ newest recruit and was already taking part in the team’s practice for the first time.

Now, a month later, Sharma appears to have settled in nicely with her new team—a full two months before the opening of the PVL’s third conference, which will be another All-Filipino tournament.

“I feel like now, I’m more adjusted. I feel more comfortable with my teammates because I’ve been training with them for about three weeks now,” Sharma told fans in a video posted on Akari’s official social media accounts.

Sharma, who had earlier admitted that going pro was something she didn’t see coming, is also leaving no stones unturned as she prepares for her very first foray into the professional ranks—a mere months after she helped La Salle win the UAAP Season 85 women’s volleyball tournament.

“Itong recent na mga trainings namin, I’m super excited and looking forward to what we’re gonna do next and what we’re gonna work on because I’m gonna be training for my first-ever professional conference,” Sharma added. “So, every day talaga 100 percent, and for sure I’ll do my best and I’m excited to be challenge.”

That challenge is sure to be daunting, as Sharma will be relied upon to help turn Akari into winners, especially after finishing near the bottom of both the All-Filipino Conference and the Invitational Conference.
