Like in the past tussles, the Akari Chargers will be a team to watch out for in the upcoming PVL Second All-Filipino Conference, given the splash they made during the offseason.

From signing the likes of Faith Nisperos and Fifi Sharma in previous instances, the Chargers have stepped up their recruitment game once more by signing star libero Justin Jazareno of the De La Salle Lady Spikers.

Jazereno will be making her debut for Akari real soon—and by the looks of it, she’s raring to go.

“Super excited ako sa incoming conference and siyempre excited din ako to help my team,” Jazareno told One Sports.

Being a newcomer to the team, along with the multi-talented Sharma, Jazareno will have to adjust to her new teammates. But so far, that hasn’t been a problem for her. It also helps that their team captain is a former Lady Archer as well in Michelle Cobb.

“Okay naman 'yung chemistry ko with the team, and then masaya kami together. Connection-wise din, okay naman,” she said.

“My expectation for this conference is to help my team, build a connection with them, and I guess, enjoy lang 'yung conference,” she added.

The Chargers will look to improve from their 10th-place finish in the PVL Invitational Conference. And with another former UAAP star joining the fold, it’s all about putting it all together for them to succeed.

Akari will open its PVL Second All-Filipino Conference campaign on Tuesday against the F2 Logistics Cargo Movers.
