They are finding out this LDR thing is not that easy.
Jaja Santiago and Taka Minowa are madly in love. Then again, everyone knows that by now. But they are also miles apart as the latter is in the Philippines to coach the Nxled Chameleons in the PVL, while the former stayed behind in Japan to play for JT Marvelous in the V.League 1.
The two, though, are making it work, with Santiago even giving sweet words of encouragement to Minowa in his new adventure in his second home.
That doesn’t mean being miles apart isn’t hard for the two lovebirds. And, on Wednesday, the couple shared on their respective Instagram accounts a sweet exchange that had an undeniable tinge of sadness and yearning after Minowa’s brief return to Japan.
Minowa started the exchange by posing in his Instagram Story a photo of him holding his passport while at the airport, with a caption that read:
“I was only there for 24 hours. But it felt just like a second. My asawa ko is the only one that can make me feel this way. I am here to support you wherever you are and whenever you need me.”
Sweet, right? But one could feel some sort of sadness already—and a sense of longing.
Santiago reposted Minowa’ Story with her own sweet message: “I can’t wait to see you again, asawa ko. I will wait for you at Christmas. Thank you for your time and support! I love you so much, and good luck with your team.
Just as sweet, yes? But best believe Santiago is wishing that Christmas is tomorrow so she and Minowa can be together again.
But such is the life Taka and Jaja chose, all for something they love in common: volleyball.
And best believe, too, that they will be supporting each other no matter what happens.
