She continues to lead the charge for the Cargo Movers in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference.
The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers grabbed their first win in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference after taking down the Nxled Chameleons in straight sets, 25-20, 25-14, 25-16, at the Ynares Center in Antipolo on Tuesday.
The Cargo Movers, who were left stunned in their opening match against the Akari Chargers, bounced back in dominating fashion to get back on track in the new conference.
Ivy Lacsina led the way once more for F2 Logistics, as she followed up her career-high 26 points against Akari with 19 markers against Nxled.
For the middle blocker-turned-opposite spiker, being the team's go-to scorer is a role she's grown to embrace with Kim Kianna Dy’s absence due to a knee injury.
“Hindi ko kasi siya iniisip na bago siya sakin kasi ito 'yung kailangan ng team ngayon, so gagawin ko lang is i-embrace' yung binigay na position sa'kin ang maglaro lang all-out,” Lacsina said during the postgame interview.
She also highlighted a simple yet effective adjustment they made to make quick work of the Chameleons.
“Siguro nagkaroon pa kami ng communication kasi 'yun 'yung nagkulang kami last game namin,” said Lacsina, who's benefiting from the sweet support of her teammates. "Pati ‘yung trabaho namin, hindi na kami masyado nagsto-stop ngayon.”
The Cargo Movers will next face the Galeries Tower Highrisers in Candon, Ilocos Sur on Saturday at 4 p.m., while Nxled will look to bounce back against the Petro Gazz Angeles on the same day at 6 p.m.
