Parang hindi naman halata.
Sisi Rondina recently received a gift from a secret admirer. But really, it's Rondina who's been the gift for the Choco Mucho Flying Titans.
The pint-sized yet high-flying spiker is one of the main reasons why the Flying Titans are on a roll in the PVL Second All-Filipino Conference. Her spirited attacks are almost unstoppable.
Choco Mucho tallied its eighth straight win on Thursday after a frenetic five-set escape against the PLDT High Speed Hitters.
Rondina led the charge for the Flying Titans, particularly in the pivotal fourth set, finishing with 20 points.
After the game, the former UAAP MVP out of the UST Growling Tigresses lair, acknowledged that PLDT pushed them to the limit. She also admitted something not many probably know about her.
"'Yung pasensya namin tine-test talaga," said Rondina, referring to the pulsating endgame. "Lalong lalo na ko na sobrang mainitin ang ulo."
The 27-year-old spiker has always been even-keeled during games. While she's also visibly passionate, she doesn't let her emotions get the best of her. That's why it's a little surprising to know that she has a short fuse as she said.
Rondina also revealed that she got the extra push she needed in crunch time because of one particular teammate.
"Ang naririnig ko lang talaga si Deanna (Wong). Alam mo 'yung nakikita ko sa kanya na, 'Tara na, 'Day, angkinin mo na 'yung likod! Nagbibigay na siya ng trabaho namin isa't isa," shared Rondina.
Wong's leadership definitely bore fruit, as Choco Mucho captured the hard-earned victory to secure its return to the semifinals.

Rondina and the Flying Titans will face their next test on Tuesday when they clash with the winless Gerflor Defenders.
