As one year ends, another begins.
Many Filipinos are looking forward to the new year as it gives them hope for an even better year ahead.
But before 2023 officially ends, it’s best to release all the negative energy to have a positive mindset ahead.
That’s exactly what Chery Tiggo Crossovers libero Jen Nierva did—well, sort of.
In her Instagram Story, Nierva posted a video of her “releasing” all the negative energy she had for 2023 through a punch bag arcade machine—the one where you hit a heavy ball and the force of your punch is "measured" supposedly.
We’re not sure though who did more damage, Nierva or the punching bag. But as long as it's effective in releasing negative energy, why not go for it, right?
And and while Nierva's form is far from textbook, it certainly looks like she packs a mean left straight for a damsel.

Of course, the 24-year-old Nierva had quite the 2023.
From her tearful goodbye to the NU Lady Bulldogs to finding her spot with the Crossovers, Nierva’s year has been full of learnings and experiences, as well as ups and downs.
As she moves forward to 2024, expect an even wiser and more prolific Nierva on the court for the Crossovers as they eye an even better finish in the next PVL season.
