The Cignal HD Spikers committed just 11 errors in their commanding win over the Farm Fresh Foxies in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
The Cignal HD Spikers showed just why they are a top contender in almost every PVL conference.
The HD Spikers committed just 11 errors en route to a straight-sets victory over the Farm Fresh Foxies, 25-15, 25-18, 25-21, at the Ynares Center Antipolo on Saturday, Nov. 16.
In the zone for the entire match, it was only during the post-game press conference that the Cignal team found out about the 11 errors they committed, much to the surprise and delight of coach Shaq Delos Santos.

It was on brand for the team, as Cignal holds the PVL record for the least number of errors committed in a game with only six, set during the 2024 Reinforced Conference.
Also surprised at the relatively low number of errors was Vanie Gandler, who made her first start for the HD Spikers since her Alas Pilipinas duties. The Cignal ace later attributed it to the work they do as a unit in training.
“I think we just focus on doing our job and that comes with it. That’s how we do it, we focus on helping each other,” Gandler said during the post-game press conference.
The same sentiment was shared by team captain and former MVP Ces Molina, who finished with a team-high 14 points in the quick win.
“Hindi talaga namin napapansin na ganun ‘yung mga errors. Sa training kasi pine-perfect namin role namin, mga skills namin. Kung ano mga kulang sa mga past conferences, tinatiyaga talaga namin sa training, so medyo nagulat nga kami 11 errors,” said Molina.
“Mahirap talaga ma-achieve ‘yung mga ganyang errors lang naco-commit namin as a team. Very happy kami na 11 errors lang kami today,” she added.
Along with Molina, Jovelyn Fernandez also finished in double-digit scoring with 11 markers. Gel Cayuna had 16 excellent sets to go along with five points in the win.
Trisha Tubu was the only double-digit scorer for the Foxies with a game-high 15 points. Closest to her was middle blocker Rizza Cruz with nine points.
Cignal will look to continue its winning ways on Thursday, Nov. 21 against the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at the FilOil EcoOil Arena in San Juan.
