Bea de Leon converted 10 of her 13 attack attempts in a highly efficient performance for Creamline versus Akari in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference.
ILOCOS SUR — In a team full of superstars, it was Bea de Leon who shone the brightest in Creamline’s convincing 26-24, 25-17, 25-16 win over Akari in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference at the Candon City Arena here on Saturday, Nov. 23.
De Leon churned out 12 points on 10-of-13 attacks, one block and one ace, nabbing the Player of the Game Honors in front of a 7,281-strong crowd.
“Siyempre, very happy akong nakuha namin 'yung panalo. Nag-enjoy lang talaga kami, sobrang saya mag-play sa crowd na ito,” De Leon told reporters after the match.

Hearing the loud cheers in the venue, De Leon showed some love to the Creamline supporters, who came from different parts of the region to support the team’s first out-of-town game in the season.
“They were really, really loud. Sobrang sarap sa taingang marinig lahat ‘yun. Really, when we came out palang, super cheer kagad talaga sila for Creamline. Alam naming galing sila sa super layong mga lugar, so maraming-maraming salamat sa suporta,” said De Leon.
When asked if the loud reception was added motivation for the 28-year-old middle blocker, De Leon simply cited it to the return of Alyssa Valdez and Tots Carlos.
Carlos was in her first game back with the Cool Smashers and contributed four points.
“Actually, the past few games parang ini-enjoy ko lang din. Kasi talagang special sa buong team na bumalik si Ate Ly (Valdez) at saka si Tottie (Carlos), so ini-enjoy lang din talaga namin together,” De Leon explained.
Jema Galanza had a team-high 13 points, four digs and five excellent receptions. Bernadeth Pons added 10 markers and four digs.
Erika Raagas led Akari with 11 points as she wound up as the only double-digit scorer for the team in the loss. Ivy Lacsina contributed six points and 12 excellent receptions.
The Chargers were without Grethcel Soltones, who sat out the match due to a right hand strain.
Creamline will have 10 days off before its highly anticipated match versus Choco Mucho on Dec. 3 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
