After a strong 2-0 start in the 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference, the Akari Chargers find themselves with a three-game losing streak.

The Chargers’ last loss came at the hands of the Petro Gazz Angels in a close 26-28, 27-29, 19-25 defeat on Thursday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.

Ivy Lacsina gave it her all for Akari after putting up a game-high 21 points in the loss.

Kailangan talaga namin mag-work as a team,” Lacsina told reporters after the match.

Aside from the Angels, the Chargers also lost to the Creamline Cool Smashers and Farm Fresh Foxies—all of which came in a sweeping defeat.

Despite their skid, the 25-year-old spiker knows that Akari cannot simply sink right away amid early adversity in the extended conference.

Trabaho lang ulit kami and balik ulit sa training,” the former NU standout said.

Lacsina and the rest of the Chargers will look to finally get back on track on December 10 as they face the Chery Tiggo Crossovers at the PhilSports Arena in Pasig.
