Following the ending of their 2024-25 PVL All-Filipino Conference campaign, the Farm Fresh Foxies are now looking towards further improving their team for the future.

With just a few months away before the 2025 PVL Draft, head coach Benson Bocboc is setting his sights on reinforcing the Foxies' offensive firepower.

While still uncertain about the draft order, Bocboc acknowledged the team’s need for a consistent scorer to complement opposite hitter Trisha Tubu, who has shouldered much of the offensive load.

“Hindi ko pa alam eh. Hindi ko pa tinitignan kung ano man 'yung draft. Kung papaano man 'yung order ng draft. So, tignan nalang natin,” Bocboc told reporters.

At the end of the preliminaries, Tubu finished with 205 points which is good for fourth among Best Scorers in the league. She is also third among Best Spikers with a 36.65% success rate.

At times when the former Best Opposite Hitter was out due to an injury, the Foxies relied on Jolina Dela Cruz and Rachel Anne Daquis for additional scoring.

However, their output has yet to reach a consistent level, prompting the UP Fighting Maroons coach to prioritize securing more offensive options.

"Siyempre scorer. Wala kaming ini-score eh, si Tubu lang eh. Kaya pagka kailangan mag-recover ni Tubu, talagang kulang. Pinipilit namin kunin kay Jolina, kay Daquis pero hindi pa consistent eh. Meron pero hindi consistent so mas marami, mas maganda. Para mas maraming options. Mas mahirapan 'yung kalaban kung sakali,” Bocboc explained.

Farm Fresh is expected to look around in what is expected to be a loaded PVL Draft in June.

Despite the challenges, Bocboc remains optimistic about the young squad’s growth, noting both the advantages and struggles of handling an inexperienced roster.

"Siguro puwedeng advantage, puwedeng disadvantage. Advantage, siyempre mas marami silang energy, mas marami pa silang potential. Pero 'yung disadvantage kasi pagka-tied na 'yung match, we're going to the endgame, nakakuha ng beterano 'yung kalaban, eh hindi sila handa pa,” said Bocboc.

“Habang tumatagal dapat matuto, makukuha 'yung experience para sa susunod sila naman 'yung nandun sa lugar na 'yun,” he added.

With the Foxies looking to bounce back in the next conference, Bocboc and his coaching staff will have a crucial decision to make in the PVL Draft as they search for the missing piece to elevate the team to playoff contention.
