Wong and Madayag continue to adjust with Coach Dante Alinsunurin’s system.
Familiarity has always been key for the Flying Titans given the players’ long history with one another. But with a new system in place with head coach Dante Alinsunurin leading the team, the Flying Titans are now in adjustment mode.
Choco Mucho’s star setter Deanna Wong said that it’s a challenge they are willing to take on.
“Siyempre since bago nga 'yung natutunan namin, bago 'yung sistema, bago lahat, it was hard to adapt at first, but siyempre that's what trainings are for, na from time-to-time we get the hang of it and siyempre tiwala lang din sa bagong coaches namin,” said Wong.
Maddie Madayag, on the other hand, said that she’s grateful that Coach Dante accepted the challenge in coaching the Flying Titans.
“We're all just very open to learning his program and lahat kami very excited kasi nga panibagong coaches, panibagong sistema, and very excited lang kami to show and apply what he's teaching us this coming conference,” said Choco Mucho’s middle blocker.
High expectations are set for Choco Mucho this upcoming PVL season as they seek their first podium finish or even a championship in the professional league.
For Wong and Madayag, it’s all about trusting in the new system.
“Bukod sa tiwala sa sarili, we really just have to trust each other and the system that the coaches are giving kasi nandun sila for a reason,” said Wong.
“I think we're embracing the new system naman and we're very happy and excited na mas marami kaming matutunan,” said Madayag. “Siyempre with what we've learned before and what we're learning now, siyempre it's like a plus for the players and team to showcase their talents.”
