As the UAAP Season 86 women’s volleyball tournament resumes after the Holy Week break, teams are gearing up to make one last push in the tournament.
With four weeks to go before the end of the elimination round, expect thrilling matches from here on out as teams try to secure a Final Four spot.
With that in mind, here’s a quick look at five must-watch games for the rest of this second round.
1. FEU Lady Tamaraws vs. Ateneo Blue Eagles (April 4)
A crucial match-up will ensue right away between the FEU Lady Tamaraws (4-4) and the Ateneo Blue Eagles (3-6) as both teams jock for fourth place in the standings.
A reinvigorated Ateneo squad has been looking dangerous as of late and is looking to put all of that together against a feisty FEU team.

Can the Blue Eagles prove that they are indeed Final Four-worthy? Or will the Lady Tamaraws maintain their spot in the Top 4?
2. FEU Lady Tamaraws vs. UST Golden Tigresses (April 13)
If their second-round match-up is anything like their first-round encounter, expect nothing short of spectacular plays from the FEU Lady Tamaraws and the UST Golden Tigresses.
Sitting with an 8-1 record after the Holy Week break, the Golden Tigresses will look to maintain their solid record against one of the teams that brought them to five sets this season.
FEU, on the other hand, is looking for a signature win, one that can more than likely push the Lady Tams into the playoffs.

3. NU Lady Bulldogs vs. DLSU Lady Spikers (April 14)
After losing the Season 84 championship, it’s been a 5-0 record for the DLSU Lady Spikers against the NU Lady Bulldogs, proving that no debt goes unpaid for the mighty Taft squad. Of those five, De La Salle won three games in thrilling five-setters.
This time around, the Lady Bulldogs, who ended UST’s unblemished record in Season 86, should be primed for some revenge against their Finals rivals, and the round-2 showdown could produce fireworks anew as the race for the twice-to-beat advantage heats up.

4. DLSU Lady Spikers vs. Ateneo Blue Eagles (April 21, 2024)
What’s a UAAP season without some La Salle-Ateneo rivalry match?
While it’s been all DLSU for the past few years, Ateneo is looking to change all of that in their second-round encounter.

Should the Blue Eagles conquer their longtime rivals, this will definitely send shockwaves across the league. But expect the Lady Spikers to be in their top form as Season 86 winds down.
5. DLSU Lady Spikers vs. UST Golden Spikers (April 27, 2024)
It’s only fitting that the last match for the elimination round of Season 86 will feature arguably the most-anticipated match of the tournament.
A lot of implications will be on the line in this matchup between De La Salle and UST, as this could ultimately decide who will finish in the top-two of the standings.
La Salle will be out for revenge after faltering in the first round, while UST will look to continue its mastery of the Lady Spikers in the season.
Indeed, this will be the perfect way to end the elimination round of Season 86.
